Process development with data that is fit for modelling

If you lack the capacity for experiments, or have no data at hand to share, Novasign carries out the experimental work with its network of partners in Vienna, Austria. Every experiment is agreed with you, so the data is fit for modelling.

Experiments planned for the model

We design the experiments and the data evaluation together with you, so the runs answer the questions your model has to answer. The procedures are written for the equipment you already have, so your team can repeat them later.

Upstream and downstream, at benchtop and pilot scale

Our partners provide the laboratory infrastructure for cultivation, tangential flow filtration and chromatography at benchtop and pilot scale, including the process analytics. Trusted partners for these projects are BOKU University and Bespark*bio.

Through the BOKU core facilities we also have access to high-performance analytics, from surface plasmon resonance and bio-layer interferometry (Octet) to mass spectrometry. You receive every result, together with the models built on it in Novasign Studio.

Tell us your organism and scale, and we confirm feasibility in the scoping call.

What you send us

The biological material, such as your cell line or strain and any specific raw materials, is shipped to Novasign and its partners. Contact us to find out what your project needs.

From the first call to your model

A project starts with an NDA and a scoping call, followed by a discussion of the experiments, our offer and your go or no-go. Then the material is shipped, the experiments are run and modelled, and the data and models are transferred to you as your own. Depending on the unit operation and the experimental effort, this takes one to nine months.

After the experiments

The data goes straight into a proof of concept, where our engineers build the first model of your process with you in Novasign Studio.
